About Wyatt

Wyatt Tuell is an author who is a passionate advocate for diversity, inclusivity, and education. Raised in a diverse household and neighborhood, Wyatt’s upbringing ignited a deep appreciation for the beauty of multiculturalism. Now, with a multicultural family of his own, he channels this appreciation into his books, creating narratives that celebrate the richness of diversity.

Wyatt was born in South Korea and was adopted by a Korean mother and American father at birth. At age two, his family moved to Omaha, NE. His mother would later remarry to the person who would raise him along with his mother. Their family would be interracial, international, multicultural, multigenerational, multi religious, and full of love! Wyatt was fortunate to grow up in diverse neighborhoods and have friends of different races and backgrounds. This along with his family gave him the foundation to see that the beauty of diversity.

With a degree in Interior Architecture from Kansas State University, Wyatt has dedicated 20 years to professional endeavors focused on making homes and communities more accessible for people with disabilities. From working for a nonprofit organization to his current role as a City Planner with the Omaha Planning Department, Wyatt has utilized his education and expertise on over 200 projects that made homes more accessible for people with disabilities.
